Toe River Valley lies within an easy drive of
some of Western North
Carolina's most famous attractions. You can take
the Blue Ridge
Parkway south to the Biltmore House
or the Thomas Wolfe Memorial in Asheville, or north to Grandfather Mountain, Linville
Falls and
Caverns, and historic Blowing Rock.
Our communities
are small: Bakersville with its
white courthouse dominating main street; Spruce Pine,
Mitchell
County's largest town
and the Toe Valley's commercial hub;
Grassy Creek with its excellent golf course and shopping
center. Various galleries showcase the work of more then 100
artisans who maintain studios in the Toe
River Valley.
